A little bit about me…
I am a Registered Social Worker/Counsellor and proud mom to three spirited little girls. I’m grateful to call Lethbridge home, though I’ve also lived and worked with the Nuxalk Nation in Bella Coola, BC, in the beautiful Great Bear Rainforest. Outside of work, I recharge through connection, coffee, music, and the mountains.
I have worked in the human services field for over 15 years and have been practicing as a therapist for almost 10 years. I feel deeply privileged to support people through some of life’s most difficult and vulnerable moments. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and non-judgmental, with a strong focus on helping clients move toward the goals that matter most to them.
I completed my Bachelor of Social Work in 2013 and my Master of Social Work (Clinical Specialization) in 2017 through the University of Calgary. My background includes psychiatric and medical mental health, First Nations clinical therapy, men’s domestic violence treatment, corrections counselling, housing and homelessness, and disability services.
I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, Aboriginal Focusing-Oriented Therapy, the Gottman Method for couples, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
